What you Mean

You are every wish
I don’t
want to lose.
Every mistake I don’t
want to make.
My love is measured
by a ruler with no end
for you.
You are a softness
that all the hard
parts of me fall into.
You better me
You scare me
You nourish me
as you induce
me to hunger.
You cause me to ask
my soul questions
that have always
been hard for me
to seek.
You are a place called home.
You are a lazy river
I drift upon.
You mean the world to me
and the stars, and all
the unknowns
this universe contains.
