Killer Girlfriend- 30 Day Halloween Poem Challenge Poem #21
I knew the moment I spied you
that the devil lived behind those blues.
How long ago did you trap him, for
I see he’s itching to play.
It’s clear from our encounter,
your a girl who can handle her boomstick
when it goes off with a kick.
Your grip on the gun is tight but loose as
silver bullets fill it, along with a gleam.
You smile that smile that I could die for as the
full moon rises, and
the day descends to glorious night.
My hand takes yours as we roam
the dank castle far beneath in the catacombs.
I’ll take the hammer, you take the stake
as we take out a vampire or two on our first date.
When other monster’s wish to interlude upon
our first kiss your casual air and
sadistic flair with an axe
cannot be denied as the crimson droplets fly
in the midnight air….Oh, I think I’m in love!
Let’s not dawdle, let’s not hesitate in our fate.
For we have a rendezvous, me and you, and it involves
Frankenstein and the Wolfman’s heads
on a plate.

30day Halloween Poem Challenge Poem#18, 19 , 20

They hold hands at night
and dance a little jig in the graveyard.
White as bone they say because that’s
all they are.
Skeletons gotta have just a bit of fun.
What would you do on Halloween if you were dead?
Do little a jig, make a little love…get down tonight.

I can’t say why the darkness consoles me.
No fear exists as shadows flow around
and enscroll my body
in etchings of lonliness
and comforting coldness
which is all I’ve ever known.
I shall walk this long road in silent solace and perhaps find my
answer in the ravens which
circle overhead.

The negative of me is the mask that I remove
when no one is looking.
It slips on and off so easily.
I forget at times which one is in control.
Perhaps one day I shall show you that piece of me
But would you run away screaming?
Fig Tree Camp and the Maasai Day #9 and 10 Continued…
I promised to tell you yesterday about what my wife what was doing on Day #9 and #10 of her trip to Kenya…
She has traveled to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. It is an extension of the Great Serengeti Plain – its considered the most stunning game viewing spot in all of Kenya: lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants and other wildlife reside here.
Her tent sits right in the middle of the wildlife at the edge of it all.
On Day #9 Hopefully she had a fun festive night attending a traditional Bush Dinner featuring a Masai Dance performance –
Today, day #10 she would have went out on full game drive and had a nice picnic lunch…and return just in time to the Masai Mara for sunset.
Here she is…! Day #9 and 10

FIRST OFFICAL PIC OF MY WIFE ON HER NATIVE SOIL OF AFRICA!….Well she would call it her native soil anyways…:)
Tisha visited one of her closest friends she met through Facebook who lives in Kenya. His name is Joseph who is of the Maasai Tribe in Kenya.
Hey, it’s our Anniversary today Oct 20th, and she’s on a date with another man…what gives!…:)
Notice the hat Joseph is wearing…yeah Tisha got that for him….she’s a big Detroit Tigers fan.
He came to visit her at the latest lodge she is staying at. I will post on that topic tomorrow perhaps and let her as well, when she returns with more pics…:)
Happy Anniversary Babe! Love ya!
Hellhounds – 30 Day Hallowen Challenge Poem #17
Hellhounds –
Known by many names,
Gwyllgi, the Dog of Darkness,
Black Schuck, the Dog of Doom,
Dip, the little black hairy one who likes
to drink blood.
All hellhounds, demon dogs, omens of death
cast from the same malformed
misbegotten blackened molds.
An acrid, odorous smell precedes them,
brimstone wafts in their wake as they stalk
lost souls in the great hunt.
Paw prints burned into cold dead stone
give away their passage.
Eyes yellow of burnished bright gold.
or eyes of red, glowing like hot coals
Eyes that seek and search.
Be you the one?
Lost?
If so ,they shall drag you down and through
Hell’s doors where in your
new home you shall dwell
evermore.

Valley, Mountains, Lakes and Waterfalls… Day #7 and #8 of My Wife’s Kenya Safari

I have recently been in contact with my wife indirectly and very briefly on Facebook when she arrived at her last location during day #5 and 6 of her trip at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club.
She says she is doing good. Tired but good. And she told me she had an incident with a monkey. Incident with a Monkey!! WTH! But that’s all I got. No story…guess we will have to wait until she gets back to hear the rest.
NOW she has traveled onto the Great Rift Valley. And this thing is big…I’m talking 3,000 Miles long extending from Israel and through Kenya to end in Mozambique to the south.
In addition, her location in Kenya puts her at the higest point where the Rift runs at 6,000 Feet high.
She is staying at the aptly named Great Rift Valley Lodge… and she seems to be getting spoiled…AGAIN. Where the hells the roughing coming in it yet? Now I’m not asking her to run out in the wild stripped to her bare nothings to find the nearest cave torub two sticks together for warmth. Well that would be an experience….hmmmm.
I will give her a break…she has been roughing it enough already I’m sure…she needed this.
So with out further adieu check out some of the area she will be exploring in the Great Rift Valley.

The Dark – 30 Day Halloween Poem Challenge #16
I’m in the dark.
I look at it, as it looks at me.
Silently it sits.
The minutes draw out to what seems hours.
I move left, it moves to follow.
So I stop. It stops.
The sound of heavy breathing, like the bellows of a fire
emit from its mouth. My heart speeds up.
It seems to be waiting for something. But what?
I raise my hand as if to wave. It waves backs.
Oh you fool, it’s just your reflection in the mirror.
Calm your breath, its your own lungs you hear
expelling in your ears, your own movements which
track from across the room distilled from the dim
photons which bounce back to your misguided
eye.
“You idiot” I tell myself out aloud.
“Yes, you are” it answers back.

Spider Crawling – 30 Day Halloween Challenge – Poem#15 – HALF WAY!!
Spider Crawling
Did you know they crawl mostly at night?
Spinning their webs to snare their prey in the day.
They like warm places.
They dwell in dark recesses .
Sometimes as you sleep they select
an ear or a nose.
A slight tickle may make you fidget as you dream
I suppose.
They just wish a home to feel safe in.
So let them crawl;
over blanket, over pillow, on cheek,
over lips, to the darkness within.

Now she’s just getting Spoiled – Day#5 & 6 of RhinoGirl’s Trip to Kenya
Fairmount Mt. Kenya Safari Club – That’s where my wife is at this very moment. And holy shit! She’s kicking back in luxury…! What the Hell…
I’m sitting on my couch eating pizza watching the rain come down in 55 Degree weather…and she’s here. DAMMIT all.
Just kidding ,,,but look at this place. It’s a sprawling luxurious mansion smack dab in the middle of nowhere surround by tons of wildlife. Seemingly lots of giraffes must blanket the place looking at the next picture below I’m guessing.
I also did a little research and it says this place used to be the once private retreat of actor, William Holden back in the day. He used it as a hunting lodge and retreat. ( Booooooooooooooooo! )
I think it’s ironic (is ironic the right word) now that its used for Safari goeers to stay and only SHOOT pictures instead of guns. I like that they are giving back to the area with their tourist dollars instead of taking a “prize” home with them.
The original intent of the place has changed for the better. So kudos to progress in Kenya for that.
SO I am sure my wife is resting comfortably here. Because that what this place is for, a little way station on the dusty road where you can sleep in a good bed and sit by the pool and look out at MT. Kenya and sip some wine.
BUT my wife never relaxes you see. Before she left for Kenya she set up a meeting with a place called Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the local area for an interview for her Blog she writes. She did tons of emailing and calling and corresponding to get this set up.
She got the email from the director just two days before she left to go to Kenya that the meeting was a go. It’s a big coup to go there and do what she will be doing.
But I won’t say anymore. I will let her tell you the whole story when she returns with pictures and the interview she conducted with the staff there who do great things for the Rhino. I will tell you this, for her it’s like walking on the moon with who and what she gets to meet there.
So long story short, she won’t be resting and kicking back much…right now I can picture her sitting up in bed running through her interview questions for tomorrow’s meeting at the place.
May you have grand time tomorrow my dear.
