She tries

image

I am at a lost
to fathom the depths
and heights of the walls
of her.

The precarious walk
she takes in the lofts
of the upper reaches
must be harrowing.

Her balance must be precise
leveled on the balls of feet
which tread a path where
a head floats in the clouds
never looking down.

At me.
The Flea.

Such is she.

That ignores me.
For who am I
but who laid his heart bare
for her.

It seems I have always known my place in her heart was but a vault
for another key to release
her from a prison.
That I could never see.

But she tries.
This girl. This woman.
She still tries
for me.

In The End

In The End~

“Show me a little more sin,” he said.

You knew the ways of men TheEnd

so you smiled,

giving him a wicked grin,

as you lifted your skirt,

and listed all the

things in your head you

would take from him

in the end.

Embrace

Embrace

Embrace me

with a quiet desperation

as we dance.

For the music could stop

at any moment.

AT THE MARATHON (GAS STATION)~

marathon

AT THE MARATHON (GAS STATION)~

AT  THE MARATHON .

CHEWING BUBBLE GUM

MY FORTUNE SAYS I’LL BE ENVIED

BY EVERYONE.

AT THE MARATHON

CHEWING BUBBLEGUM

SITTING AT THE MARATHON

WAITING FOR A FRIEND TO COME

AT THE MARATHON.

WHO’D ENVY ME?

THE ONE WHO OWNS A BROKEN CAR.

AT THE MARATHON

WHO’D ENVY ME

THE ONE WITH A BROKEN HEART

AT THE MARATHON

THE NIGHT IS GETTING COLDER

AS THE CARS DRIVE BY.

AS I CHEW MY BUBBLEGUM.

WHO’D ENVY ME?

AT THE MARATHON.

Fill up my time fish

goldfish

Fill up my time fish~

She said,  “Fill up my time

while I wait for something

that I can finally keep

to drop on by.”

He said, “You’ll do,

you beautiful thing you,

now hurry , spread your legs as

my want of  you is  almost up.”

You are my novelty for the day,

the week, the month, the year,

as my desires

run their phases like the moon

runs its course across the skies

a hundred thousand million times.

You didn’t know it, but you did.

You hoped, but you still did.

Our original sin, over and over again.

That seems to be half the fun.

Are we all hobbies? Habits?

Frivolous fantasies and disastrous

desires run amok?

Dear affections that grab us like

a child holding tight to a goldfish

in a brand new bowl.

We all know what  happens to that fish.

The Result – A poem

FLyingawayfool
The Result~
What’s the result of it all,
these games we play
these little lies
we tell
to any and all
and ourselves
in the day.
The desires
we want
expressed
and the ones we
don’t want forced
upon us.
What’s the result of it all?
A loneliness that doesn’t have
to be.
An incompleteness swathed
in guilt.
Is it best not to think on it?
Go about your day
boy or girl.
You think too much.
Positive thoughts
take them and run
I have always
been too melancholy
and a funny fool.
in one.
Guess that’s my
result.

The Zombie and the Saint

Saint
Art by Apterus

The Zombie and the Saint~

She walked in a disjointed gait

down a dark desolate street

thigh highs taunt and tight

on a withered frame

hollow and desiccated.

Held together by a tight black

skirt, and laced corset.

I approached to ask  for a light.

Her dispassionate gaze

crawled over me,  a hunger

was there, undefined.

Dull, Defective, Defunct

I shrugged, and moved on.

A cold hand clutched

vice like,

as claws dug

into me, desperately.

I looked to her eyes

and found a light

Bright embers burning

deep.

And took her home

Or did

she take me?

I will never know.

But should I really care?

For she saved me.

She was my Saint.

She Said – A Poem

whisper-408482_640
She said ~
She said,
I am sick of crying….
I am sick of dying
inside
a little every day
and every night
because life
likes to throw
so much shit my
way
and I cant cope
as I try to lay all the lines
straight
and they just
become entangled
all the more.
Choices come cheap
she said.
If you allow them in
Chances can be taken
when you just jump
Change can happen
with but a whisper
of want conveyed.
So she said.

Shark Shark!

Shark

I know I am bait
on the deep dark blue
I paddle and wait
I splash…intentionally
I cut my calf to bleed
a bloody trail
on the currents that carry me
Never a warning given
BAM
I fly
air is my only friend for the moment
as I descend
Splash….stunned.
I know it will return…
shortly..very shortly.
For it has plunged,
deep
to rise …rise… rise
right underneath.
To finish its meal.
I can’t see, I can’t see
below into this bloody
dim sea.
But it’s there rising fast.
It’s there.
Rising to meet
me.

Snuggling

Head to chest

she lays upon him

his heart beats..loud and clear

in her ear.

Strong hands idly rub her soft skin

in an embrace

of familiar affection.

Skin to skin.,

warmth projects

from within to without

and commingles.

A comfort.

A contentment

that cannot be contrived

or bought.

It simply is in that moment

what it is,

a deep snuggle and

a small world

all her own

with him.
