If I Didn’t have her

If I didn't have her in my life
I would be less than
My days would be dim,
and my smile would be less inclined.

I would know loneliness,
I would know isolation
and I would cry the fool every night
of my life if I didn't have this woman
to hold on to when
all the world swung from wrong to
right and back again.

She's a sweet one, my woman,
she's a handful to, but she's
grabbed a handful of my heart
will all the strength she has in
her, and I don't feel her ever wanting
to let go anytime soon.

If I didn't have her in my life,
I would ask the Universe why
But I don't have to ask that question.
Because she's right here,
right now, in my arms.

Idle thoughts of the Universe

We silly humans at times like to ascribe meaning to the planets & stars and the way they are set into the sky above us on a nightly basis in relation to our own daily lives. The stars and the planets must think us so silly, for they only wish to just be; to be born, to live and interact, and then to die same as us.

The Everything and the Nothing

If I were to suddenly evanesce, to flee, to disappear,
to run fast and headlong into the bright nothingness of the night,
what ruin would find my absence?

Would their be sick wailing siren calls of the once was
reaching my soul's ears
through the
nothingness of me?

I hope not. Not Wailing over me.... a tear or two will do, followed
quickly with a laugh.

But I do not wish to know the old world anymore after I am gone.
Why dry up and go, if to only to still receive drops of the
once-was in a teacup, to simply drink bitterly
of.

Remember me or don't, for I will not care as
I lie afloat amongst the stars, dreaming of new
things, new worlds, new excursions to catapult
a frayed mind to healing, to repair a ripped soul
torn asunder.

Cry and smile in the same instant is
all I ask of you if you do remember, for I
liked to be missed in both respects.
So I guess I do care a little at that.

I believe in everything and nothing in this Universe and I
would miss both aspects were I to finally fall into the
abyss of what-not and possibly nothings.

I enjoy the Everything of people healing of the
cuts they give themselves and get, and its wondrously satisfying
to partake in living in that magical epiphany
of them
I do not enjoy the Nothing, in the sense that
they will continually scratch the scabs to bleeding
every so often and there is no mop big enough,
nor pail of water full enough
to ever fully clean it all up.

I am tired of slipping in their blood.
The Everything of them is wonderful
buy sometimes the Nothing of them
becomes all too much.

From her eyes,to her smiles and hips

There is no greater story than us…

To meet during the chaos of our lives as the cruel planet revolved endlessly around.

The Universe said, “Here, take a look at this, isn’t it all you have ever wished for?”

“Yes, yes it is,” I replied inside, “she’s the type of girl I could love.”

From the come fuck-me eyes, to that open sweet smile, to those hips which told a future tale of open thighs letting me inside, from her warm heart to her internal heat.

When the Universe speaks, you better listen hard, for she may only whisper but once.

I didn’t blink, I didn’t turn away. I smiled back.

I saw her that night, fully. Her and I, laid out together for the next years of our lifetime and perhaps well beyond if the myths be true.

She was the one, she is the one.

From her eyes, to her smile, to her hips and well beyond.

On first meeting

On first sight,
I did smile,
eyes drinking you in like a warm
red sweet wine,
rolling the taste
around with my tongue
slowly savoring,
before swallowing you
down,
trying to satiate a thirst
you created
with just
one devastating look
my way.

On first kiss,
the universe coalesced
between our lips
electrons comingled
energies shared,
released in cataclysmic
meeting, we danced
together you and I
body and soul
hand in hand
orbiting, revolving
and falling
into the others
gravity,
pulling and
savoring the magic
in the resonance
between
the other,
knowing none like it
that had ever come before.

On first parting,
an almost ripping,
a tearing of souls
seamed together
like a fine soft silk
blanketing us
both in a commanding
comfort
of a home
we had never known
yet sought,
with surety
we knew
that through patience
and the
wrestling of fate
we would
meet
again to make
the universe
dance for us
in the home
of our own
creation.

Why doesn’t God give a sign to those who keep asking for a sign in order to believe?

Reasons why:

1. He/She/It  Doesn’t exist

2. He/She/It Doesn’t give a damn

3. He/She/It is  not as omniscient as you think,  so  can’t hear you praying cuz He/She/It is busy doing something else in The Universe

4. He/She/It  can’t affect your life even if He/She/It wanted to

5.  He/She/It does give signs but you cant or won’t see them

6. Some nefarious or non-nefarious entity has locked him/her/it  in some strange dimensional prison where He/She/It has no way to affect  the Universe

7. Perhaps giving you no sign at all was part of the plan in the first place.

8. Perhaps He/She/It is dreaming all this up, you, me, the Universe and will wake up, making  us all go poof!

9. Perhaps I am God giving you a sign RIGHT now, telling you to stop looking for outside courage and hope but instead find it in yourself and in others and sincerely strive for change and by just trying it is enough, win or lose,  in the limited life you have left on this blue ball called Earth traveling at over 70,000 miles/hr through space, spinning and spinning…and to  just try to fucking enjoy it the best your can ,  Good or bad.

My Stardust Companion

There is no doubt, not an ounce
that some of my atoms were compressed
tight to the millionth of magnitudes
against some of yours
Kissing, real French like
if you know what I mean,
in that coalescing, condensed
cosmic cloud
out in the lonely dark
in an endless time.
Then Bam!
We were torn apart
just about when
I was almost
to second base
You were gone,
Far flung.
We both did our own thing then
for eons, on top of eons
Flying in a comet or two,
playing in the solar winds
making new friends
and losing a few to
the gravity of
a Universe slowly,
ever slowly coming
into view.
But, I still remembered you
in all my travels…
that energy, that vibrating
frequency, that was
a signature all your own
I felt it out there
amongst all the seeming chaos,
I felt you.
And now you have come
to sidle up tight
against me once again.
So let’s start over with that kiss
and let the planet we now
find ourselves on,
spin and spin and spin.

What is in that 2%

chimp-chess

Neil Degrasse Tyson, the American astrophysicist, cosmologist, author and consummate educator of all things Sciencey… 🙂 –   Stated that in regards to DNA,  chimpanzees, orangutans and gorillas share approximately 98% of our DNA.

OMG! Think about that  98% and that small difference he exclaimed!

Humans can do complex math, humans create and design great edifices, travel into space, perform surgeries, compose music, write books,  and create wonderful works of art…etc.

Chimps can be taught sign language, to count, perhaps to ride a bike,  or create rudimentary tools to accomplish a task. But that is where it ends for them. (does it? I ask)  That has been the height of their evolution. (is it? I ask)

He then went on to speculate and ask,  what is in that  2%  of our DNA that bestows these great intellectual gifts upon us humans yet denies the Chimp access to it?

What is in that 2% ?

He goes on further and asks what if we were to meet aliens from another planet and our situation was reversed.

What if we were the chimps and we had only 98% of DNA in common with that alien race?

How SMART would they be compared to us?  Our smartest Mathematicians on the planet would be drooling idiots next to their children coming out of 1st grade.  Their pre-school children would probably intuitively just know Algebra like our children know  1 +1 .

(That possible fact, if it were to be one, would shout that we are not as special in this universe as we like to think we are but I digress..)

What discoveries have they already made while we are still banging rocks on the ground to open a nut. Wonders I imagine, he speculates ( I am paraphrasing).

YES, a interesting concept BUT Neil never goes the other way in his thinking.

True they might know wondrous things, mysteries may be revealed to them beyond our chimp like comprehension.

BUT at what cost?

violence

How many wars have we waged on this planet? How much violence has  been done against another in the years we have lived together? We are the least savage and the most “civilized” and the smartest animal on this planet?

So what of those aliens. Does their intellect exceed their civility and universal morals ? Or does it keep pace?  Are they violent, bigoted, sexist, apathetic, a specist (yes that last one is an actual problem here on our planet).

My theory is that it’s a mixed bag by all probability. Meaning, one set of aliens out there are well adjusted and smart as hell and way above us intellectually but are very civilized and peaceful with very minimal violence towards themselves and their own planet.

While another alien race out there is smart as hell also but the most corrupt species and apathetic, greedy,  power hunger seeking race you will ever not want to encounter in your entire lifetime no matter the curiosity you might feel of wanting to know if life exists outside of our blue ball a planet. Keep them distant please, thank you very much.

WILL we get better ourselves. WILL our intellect still exceed our morality like it has for millennia after millennia. Will we end up that alien race that goes out one day into the galaxy like Columbus sailing from the shore of Espana to the West Indies claiming lands in the name of Queen Isabella subjugating, raping , enslaving, and killing the locals?

I would like to think not….but meh..who knows…I am always surprised on a daily basis at what depravity exists in our world on Earth.

Time will tell if our DNA wins over our hearts and tells us if that 2% makes us better or worse.

God,gods, religion and aliens…take your pick

I recently read a blog post entitled Intelligence vs Faith,  from someone named  Thomas M. Watt, whom I follow. He basically asked his audience  would you find faith and believe in God and  turn from being an Atheist if planet Earth was attacked , enslaved and taken over by  a godless alien race in just one day? (why one day is a modifier in this scenario I don’t know)  Now being a writer I was intrigued by the question so my “what-if” wheels started spinning on the question.  Here is my rant on gods, God , religion and aliens…:)

invasion-ovni-430vm030311

Every race has  some form  of  a god or gods…even an alien race…I am betting with 99.99999% surety that there are alien races out there who have their own gods and their own “bible” . Some are probably  war mongers who want to attack other alien races and subjugate them  and others are peaceful enough  to just want to explore and learn from the other races and perhaps even want to help them.  Just as there are extremes and factions in our own humankind there must be on other alien worlds.   We as humans ARE special BUT we are not as special as soooo many people on this planet make us out to be.

We are NOT one of a kind. Your question tells me that you think we are  THAT special  that “our” god  (like if there is truly a god he couldn’t have more than one planet . one galaxy, or one universe to manage under his umbrella). If GOD is as we say so omnipresent and all knowing and all powerful why would he Give PLANET A   any special favors over PLANET B… maybe he loves them both (or  hates them both)  equally and wants them to learn from their mistakes of attacking an entire planet and enslaving them.

This has happened on our own planet on a smaller scale over thousands of years and a god has never intervened  (as far as I can see)  to stop it.  It just gradually got better and the situation went away through our own human compassion and moral compass pointing us in the right direction.

ancient aliens - rh negative - anunnaki

And what does a god care about scale anyway?  Hundreds, thousands, millions, billions, trillions….they could all die an instant and I think it would feel the same to that god… (just conjecture of course. I never assume I know what a person  is thinking…even a god…:)    (even though everyone else seems to know) I personally don’t want to worship anything or anyone….respect yes….take advice from yes…love maybe  even…but not worship.

To me all gods are those asshole friends who never come around to say hello or give advice or listen to your problems or help move your shit when your moving out of your apartment.

I say, Show up ,  get your hands dirty with me….laugh with me… toil with me …let me know your in it with me and you care…then I might like ya just a little bit…then maybe  I will call ya friend…but worship you no… I would sooner worship my cat…

(This is just one man’s opinion and feelings on the matter. For what that is worth as there are 7.2 Billion people on this planet with their own as well.)
