Won’t you be my Neighbor
A little disappointed in John Wick 3 …good action as always but lacking in dialogue and character development and leaning too hard on the action and stunt work. Also the progression from scene seemed too contrived and not organic. The movie this time around relied more on you caring about the type of way a person would die or the type of gun or weapon used than the pain of the character’s inner world I grew to love… The last two movies had a more delicate touch to the soul of a driven man…this was just a baseball bat breaking dishes for no reason besides because you didn’t like the pattern on them… Visually it was stunning at times with more world building giving the world more character than the person or persons themselves…plus the previous 2 movies had a pointed villain making it personal but this was more of a anti-establishment, of a me vs a corp entity feel. Writers this time around were lacking in imagination and storytelling … I saw no upward or downward movement in characters this time around… Kinda just there……I give it a B- … Still on board with franchise , just don’t disappoint again else ya gonna get cut… 😈

The Goblin King Sleeps~
In an oubliette deep
does a dank dungeon keep
the Goblin King.
Shattered, weary,
heartbroken,
at a loss to life he sought
and thought would crawl on forever
in a true vanity of his own design.
Yet, a silver lining
does shine on the pitted walls
which confine this man.
For he made a difference while out
in the world of light.
He ravaged, and wrought, bringing knees
to bend to touch the ground
and they fought, found courage,
bringing a change to the world each
in their way, good or bad
in the eyes of men
he brought a change,
and a reckoning was finally
consummated.
this proud King.
And finally escape his
dungeon deep.

Hello one and all….
My wife made it back from her overseas vacation after 14 Long Days…BUT what did I do while she was gone during  all that time?
Well…after I got tired of all the strippers and hookers night after night laying around and drinking up all my orange juice in the fridge at my house, I decided to go to the THRILLER CHILLER FILM FESTIVAL in my area.
The Festival was scheduled to go for  three days , Thursdays thru Saturday from midday well into the night…
I had limited time on my hands because of all the hookers,  so I could only chose one day, Friday ended being the day I would attend the festival.
The Film Festival is held annually at the local Wealthy Street Theatre in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It’s a beautiful theatre . It houses Theatre A which showcases the longer running film and Theatre B for a lot of the movie shorts.
This was to be my first Film Festival and I didn’t know what to expect. I did expect this to be a more intimate affair as this was a small venue along with it being a less well known event. (but getting bigger every year!!! )
The front Lobby and the inside of the theatre give off  nice ambiance. Theatres like this are like coming home. It was nice just to sit there in my seat and just take it all in.
I didn’t go with anyone but I did run into a friend named, Mary Marly Green, who often frequents these events and who also does a little acting herself in this genre of film. She’s a great actress, she dies very well also….:)  Hire her.
******************************************************************************************
I saw many great movies Long and Short such as: Kill Switch, The Gauntlet, For No Eyes Only, O Amuleto do Dragao,Devils in the Darkness.
Check out the trailers above. I highly recommend all of the movies if you run across them in a film Festival in your area .
I had a good time for a first timer. I will definitely be going to next year’s event and perhaps look for others to attend between that time…:).    Check out other pictures I took at the event below!
I have a friend named Jason Roth, who is a up and coming filmmaker who is currently in the process of producing a full length no holds bard animated movie that looks to be a smash. He’s picked up some prominent actors to do some of  the voice overs for the movie. One you might know very well if you have ever seen the Vampire Flick, Dusk before Dawn. He has also appeared in Zombie Apocalypse:Redemption, and many more movies. He goes by the name of FRED “THE HAMMER” WILLIAMSON , and did I forget to mention  also a former professional football star. Please check out the informational link above to the Sticky Fingers Site if you would like to help out in this endeavor.

With Halloween fast approaching scary movies are always a must…if you have anything like access to Netflix or like digging through $1.00 to $10.00 cheapy movies  in the Bargain Bin at Walmart, Best Buy, or whatever and you run across a Horror flick,  chances are Goregirl has done a review on it…check out her Horror Archives on various reviews of Horror Flicks she has done herself before you waste your money & perhaps 90 minutes of your time….
She is truly dedicated to the craft that is horror. Her direct home page is also here, so go ahead. What are you afraid of? She won’t bite.
