Philip Wardlow is a burgeoning ever growing writer and poet delving into all the various aspects of the human condition. His writing tastes run to the Erotic most recently. In the recent past he has written to the Dark Urban Fantasy & Horror Genre which he still loves as well. He likes to dabble in all the various forms of poetry; from the sexy to the humorous, to the profound and beautifully sentimental and reflective. He has only been at this chosen path for a few of years and has produced one Novella published as an Ebook on Amazon called “Roadkill”. He has submitted and continues to submit various stories and poetry works to publications for consideration. Philip is working on a collection of Erotic Poetry due out in 2021 in ebook form and perhaps in paperback. He is also concurrently working hard on his other passion; photography. Philip believes he can have each foot planted in two distinctly different worlds of creativity there by inciting new ideas and growth at the same time in both.

Now she’s just getting Spoiled – Day#5 & 6 of RhinoGirl’s Trip to Kenya

view-from-side

Fairmount Mt. Kenya Safari Club – That’s where my wife  is at this very moment.  And holy shit! She’s  kicking back in luxury…!  What the Hell…

Mount_Kenya_opulent_tours

I’m sitting on my couch eating pizza watching the rain come down in 55 Degree weather…and she’s here.  DAMMIT all.

Just kidding ,,,but look at this place.  It’s a sprawling luxurious mansion smack dab in the middle of nowhere surround by tons of wildlife. Seemingly lots of giraffes must blanket the place looking at the next picture below I’m guessing.

Girafee

I also did a little research and it says this place used to be the once private retreat of actor, William Holden back in the day. He used it as a hunting lodge and retreat.  ( Booooooooooooooooo! )

I think it’s ironic (is ironic the right word)  now that its used for Safari goeers to stay and  only SHOOT pictures instead of guns. I like that they are giving back to the area with their tourist dollars instead of taking a “prize”  home with them.

The original intent of the place has changed for the better.  So kudos to progress in Kenya for that.

Safari Club

SO I am sure my wife  is resting comfortably  here.  Because that what this place  is for, a little way station on the dusty road where you can sleep in a good bed and sit by the pool and look out at MT. Kenya and sip some wine.

BUT my wife never relaxes you see. Before she left for Kenya she set up a meeting with a place called Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the local area for an interview for her Blog she writes. She did tons of emailing and calling and corresponding to get this set up.

She got the email from the director just two days before she left to go to Kenya that the meeting was a go.  It’s a big coup to go there and do what she will be doing.

But I won’t  say anymore. I  will let her tell you the whole story  when she returns with pictures and the interview she conducted with the staff there who do great things for the Rhino. I will tell you this, for her it’s like walking on the moon with who and what she gets to meet there.

So long story short, she won’t be resting and kicking back much…right now I can picture her sitting up in bed  running through her interview questions for tomorrow’s meeting at the place.

May you have grand time tomorrow my dear.

Take Me – 30 Day Halloween Challenge – Poem #14

apanese_horror_by_asphynxia

Take Me –

If I should die before I wake, I pray thee  Lord my soul to take…

Let me wander free of me,

Let me wander far of field

of the flies and maggots

which fester upon

my  rotting flesh.

My mind is not my own

as I walk this earth I once

called home.

Take me, for I do wish to remain

a husk of hunger

never knowing peace.

Take me so I may

finally fall  asleep.

Quote of the Week

Only when all the angels have fallen and the demons have awoken from  their dark sleep will the world know true peace.

Killer Pumpkins – 30 Day Halloween Poem Challenge – Poem #13 – (but I cheated :)

Killer Pumpkinskiller-pumpkinWeapons

Ba dump…ba dump…ba ba dump.

Bump…

Bump…

They roll.

They stroll

down the streets;

orange and angry.

Why do they roll?

Why are they not in bed,

with green leaves as blankets

To cover their orange ripply heads.

I suppose they’re pissed off

for being left behind

in the patch.

What the fuck was wrong

with them, they ask.

It’s Halloween and they’ve

waited long enough.

Knives in hand with

grins carved in,

ready to show

the little tricker-treat bastards

a real killer

pumpkin.

So they roll

and they stroll

down the street.

Where in the World is my wife – Day#2 and #3

I have been keeping an eye on my wife’s 14-DAY Itinerary while in Kenya and I have to assume she touched down safely in Nairobi yesterday,  Sunday at 9;20 pm Kenya Time  (1:20pm our time) . Because I cannot get in contact with her whatsoever…I think she’s avoiding me…ha!

The first night there  she stayed a hotel in Nairobi.  Now she has already set off for her first stop in Kenya.

The Samburu Reserve.  See Pics below –  I Found a map of the reserve along with  pictures of the accommodations she may be staying in there….

Intrepid camp

I’m sure she’s loving it amongst the African wildlife.  I am sure she will bring back actual pics of her stay at each place she’s stays…

She is only staying at this place for a couple of days..then it’s on to the next place…:)

it’s always hungry.

I think it sees you,
I am sorry that is so

Think driven by the wind?
A lonely swing in the dark.
When alive, her friend.

Well she’s Gone…

I had a 30 day Poem Challenge I was working on for Halloween….but pardon my French…FUCK  it for now…I’ll just write two poems in one day tomorrow instead to make up o for it.

You see, I had to see help my wife get ready to go to AFRICA Saturday for the next 14 days and see her off at the airport….so I guess you could say it’s not your typical day for me.

My mind was not very focused …I didn’t give a shit about a poem I guess…Look below . Would give you give shit about a poem if this woman was leaving you for the  next 14 days?

DSCN1869

I thought not.

So I am in not a give a fuck mode…I went to the bar…had a drink or two .watched the Detroit Tigers play the Boston Red Sox game  because I didn’t want to watch it alone, I needed people around me to see it…AND we WON….

My wife, TISHA, would be so jealous that she missed the game.

Here’s to you babe…gulp.

Btw I got suddenly depressed that I couldn’t share the WIN with her…we see ALL the games together. It’s gonna be hard a series without her.

Okay I’m done whining…just had to say it…

You will be seeing more poems and stuff (hopefully a story soon)   tomorrow.

Ya’ll have a good night…..Go Tigers and enjoy yourself in Kenya babe..

Outside your Window – 30 Days of Halloween Poem Challenge Poem#9

OutsideDoor

Outside your Window –

Have you ever had evil imaginings,

awake or dreaming,
and confused the two?

A  palpable scene,

with the texture of  black  silk covering

from head to toe,

wrapping around your neck as your breathing slowed?

The dark outside solidified against the glass

as something settled it’s gaze.

A pinprick of pressure to the skin at

the nape of the neck.

It’s waiting to be let in.

Your hand rises to the latch, as you wonder

at  the horror that seeks you and the  curiosity in

which you seek your own demise.

Perhaps this will be the night

you finally die.
